In the 1940´s there was a huge demand for durable and reliable watches for the troops in the second world war. Longines has admirable history in the watchmaking industry, and this piece is a great example of from the manufacturer that does well what it was designed for. Durable stainless steel case houses beautiful Longines cal. 12.68N and highly legible dial and hands inside it. This veteran has now been professionally maintained and called for duty again and is ready for action.
The watch comes with brand new nato strap and Longines vintage buckle attached to it. Longines blue service box and our service letter are also included.

Case diameter approximately 33,2 mm.
Size between lugs: 18 mm (strap attachment).
Fits wrist (diameter): 190 mm (19,0cm) and less.
Functions: Time, central second, manual winding movement.
Dial and hands condition: marks or scratches visible to bare eye, new lume added to the hour & minute hand. Big mark on the dial between 4-5. Dial surface partly peeled/damaged, and has visible patina.
Case condition: refinished lightly to highlight the finishing.
Bracelet/strap condition: new nato strap, with Longines steel buckle.
Movement condition: professionally serviced 3/2024 at our atelier and working as should. Plating worn in the movement bridges.
Glass condition: new plexi glass.
Guarantee: This watch is running well and working as it should, and it has been professionally serviced so that you can buy it with confidence. We offer 12 months guarantee for mechanical functionality for this watch. Watches require regular servicing and checking for water resistance. We recommend checking this watch at our atelier or official service center within next 2-3 years and bring it for additional cleaning once a year. Guarantee does not cover misuse of the watch or accidents (for instance if the watch is dropped or if the crown has been left open in a waterproof watch and water/moisture has entered the case, or if the watch has been taken to sauna).
Polus watchmakers commentary: This watch has been carefully checked at our watchmaking atelier for authenticity, overall condition, rate result and water resistance test. This Longines is in good overall condition. The case has been professionally & lightly refinished and has few small scratches. Case overall condition is good. The case is not water resistant. The movement has been professionally serviced and it is running well and accurately. Movement bridges plating has partly peeled off (we offer pictures if wished). Most notably, the dial surface is damaged, please see the pictures and ask for more information if needed.
